Product Description

If your students are anything like mine, they take everything literally. They are often surprised that words or sayings can have a figurative meaning.

This resource is NOT a simple “identify the figurative language” resource. Your students will have to go deeper and interpret meaning, write their own figures of speech based on the text (transfer), and expand and develop figurative comparisons using metaphors and similes of their own. I’ve differentiated each text so you can meet the needs of each reader in your class.
