Finding My Courage Letter Writing Activity:
- Students will write a letter to a friend, telling them about something they cannot do yet but, with courage, would like to do.
- Planning pages will guide your students and teach them all the parts of a letter.
How Would You Respond? Activity:
- Students will read different situations on four phones and color the message bubbles that demonstrates courage.
- Below each phone, students will explain why they colored the message.
Courage Badge Craft Activity:
- Students will create a courage shooting star craft.
- In order to complete their activity, students will answer questions about courage on thin strips of paper.
- Then they will cut them and attach them to their courage stars.
Quote of the Week
- Each week, discuss a new quote about courage with your students.
- Quote of the week includes five different quotes about courage.
- Activity page with three reflection questions is included for each quote.
- Each quote is available in a speech bubble that you can print and hang.
Courage Scenarios/Social Stories
- Let students place themselves in new situations and think about ways to be courageous.
- Use these scenarios to inspire meaningful conversations in your classroom.
- Display the scenarios on your bulletin board for a class discussion or print the scenarios for students to work in groups or independently.
Courage Reader’s Theatre:
- Readers theater will help with fluency, comprehension, and speaking and while studying character education.
